He. Is. Faithful.

Hello from Ireland!

Yes, during the weeks I’ve been silent on here, I made it back to my beloved Emerald Isle. My visa has not been sorted, but I was able to return on a 90 day tourist visa. Since I arrived back home the evening of 21 July, I have been sorting stuff, organizing, cleaning, and catching up with friends here.

Coming back home in the midst of uncertainty has been interesting. This town still feels like home, but many questions continue to hang over me as to how much longer that will be the case. I’m spending some concentrated time with God this week praying about my future in a number of areas, and it’s been a good (and hard) time so far.

One thing in particular has come to mind again and again as I have sat talking and listening to Him. He is faithful. In looking at just the past four months of my life, I can see so many, many ways that He has worked in the unknown to bring blessings my way. From having a place to stay in the UK and the friends I made there, to making the trip back to Colorado and having my family all together for the first time in nearly three and a half years, to celebrating with a good friend as she said “I do” and getting to enjoy my birthday with my parents and some of my best friends, He has given me so much to be grateful for.

I don’t know how things will turn out here in the next couple of months. I don’t know what doors will open or whether some will close. I’m not sure whether there will be much rejoicing or many tears in the days and weeks to come (or perhaps some of each.) What I do know is God will remain on His throne. He will still be good, and He will still be faithful.

Always.
